Netherlands Radio Choir

On Wednesday 25 November '20 - in the week of the festive inaugural concert of Benjamin Goodson as chief conductor of the Groot Omroepkoor - the Groot Omroepkoor received the municipal pin of Hilversum from mayor Pieter Broertjes.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Groot Omroepkoor, the jubilee book 'Stemgeluiden' has been published, written by Oswin Schneeweisz. In eight very readable chapters he describes the pioneering years, golden ages, conductors and milestones. With a personal afterword by Benjamin Goodson, the current principal conductor of the Netherlands Radio Choir. The book is interspersed with interviews, (historical) photographs, reviews and various archive material.
